The Hohe Straße (in Kölsch: Huhstroß) is a 680 meter long shopping street in the center of Cologne in the Altstadt-Nord district. It runs as a pedestrian zone in a north-south direction between Wallrafplatz and Hohe Pforte street with access to Schildergasse. The street name is pronounced with the emphasis on “Hohe” and, contrary to common usage, is not inflected. In 2019, Hohe Strasse was the 5th most frequented shopping street in Germany.
